Pushkar Trip Itinerary: 5 Peaceful Places to Visit in Rajasthan

Welcome to Our Rajasthan Travel Guide Series!
Welcome, my fellow travelers! 👋
My name is Rajat Sharma, and it is my great honor to welcome you to my Rajasthan Travel Guide series—a travel experience of going city by city through the best of Rajasthan: what to see, what to miss, and when to go.
I will share the details of my personal trip to Pushkar in this post—a delightful cocktail of spirituality, culture, and eco-adventure. It does not matter whether you come for the temples or the lake or the legendary camel fair-this blog is your handbook to planning an unforgettable trip.
Why Plan a Pushkar Trip Itinerary?
The town of Pushkar, a sacred place in the Ajmer district of Rajasthan, is one of the oldest cities of India. It is known for its holiest lake, the world’s only Brahma temple, the colorful bazaars, and the spectacular Pushkar Camel Fair that is held every November.
This Pushkar itinerary is designed to be everything there is to see and do in Pushkar, as well as where to stay, how to get there, and how much it costs.
Day 1: Sacred Start to Your Pushkar Trip Itinerary
Brahma Temple – A Divine Rarity

The only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma anywhere in the world. For a spiritual traveler, this was the first and probably the most empowering stop on my {or: in my} Pushkar journey.
📍 Hours: 6 am to 9 pm
🎟️ Free Entry
🧘♂️ Pro Tip: Early arrival is best to avoid the crowds, and join the morning chants.
Pushkar Lake & Ghats – Tranquil Waters, Timeless Rituals

Pushkar Lake is positioned in the town’s very heart, bordered by 52 ghats and over 400 temples. One of the main highlights of this Pushkar trip itinerary would be the sunset aarti.
📍Best Time: Early morning or sunset
🎟️Entry Fee: Free
💡Tip: Offer flowers and light a diya during the aarti with the local crowd.
Savitri Temple – Climb or Glide to the Best Viewpoint

Perched at the crest of a mountain peak overlooking Pushkar, a temple built in honor of Goddess Savitri boasts breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding town and desert. Trekking is an option, or simply taking a ride on the scenic ropeway.
📍 Ropeway charges- ₹150 (round trip)
📸 Ideal Photography Time: Single shot during sunrise or sunset
Day 2: Culture & Adventure in Pushkar
Pushkar Bazaar – Colorful Chaos, Authentic Finds

Any Pushkar travel guide is incomplete without mention of the market-a place of everything from handcrafted leather bags and rose perfumes to bohemian clothes and silver jewelry.
Must-Buys: Rosewater, camel leather, and embroidered products.
Bargaining Tip: Start at 60% of the quoted price-expected!
Camel Safari – A Desert Experience You Won’t Forget

Complete your Pushkar trip with a camel ride into the desert dunes. Opting for a sunset safari, involving cultural performances and Rajasthani dinner, feels like a magic show.
📍 Duration: 2-3 Hrs
🎟️ Fees: ₹600-₹1500 (depends on the package)
🌅 Sharing My Experience: Traveling through golden dunes with the backdrop of folk music felt like a journey back in time.
